Safety Starts With Me competition is here again!

Dear Sir/Madam,

Organised by the Workplace Safety and Health Council in collaboration with Ministry of Manpower, the “Safety Starts with Me” competition aims to promote the “Safety Starts with Me” theme with the tagline “I can prevent all injuries and be healthy at work” through creative expression in various art forms.

The goal  is to remind everyone to pay attention to common everyday risks at work.
Whether you are a worker in the construction or manufacturing industry, an employee in the hospitality or retail line, a driver transporting goods with your vehicle, or an executive with a deskbound job, you face health risks that can lead to sickness or injury. Everyone deserves to work in a safe and healthy environment, and go home safely to their loved ones. To achieve this, we need to work together with the belief that zero harm is possible and all injuries and ill-health can be prevented.

Because safety starts with me and you. Tell us what workplace safety and health means to you. Write a story, take a picture or make an animation. Submit your idea on workplace safety and health in the following categories and win great prizes:

 · Creative photography  · Creative story writing
 · Animation and short film   · Poster drawing  ·

What’s more, you stand to win exciting cash prizes of up to $4000 and also get a chance to showcase your ideas at our National Workplace Safety and Health Campaign in April 2016 and play a part in spreading the safety message.

Hurry! Competition ends 21 March 2016. For details, you can visit our website at www.wshc.sg/safetystartswithme

 "Dr Doodle-Young Illustrator Award 2012"
Dr Doodle - Young Illustrator Awards 2012 is organized by Siglap Secondary School in partnership with the National Arts Council and National Board. The aim of the competition is to celebrate the joy of doodling, a favorite past time that many children would indulge in. Doodling is one of the earliest ways for children to experience art making. As the P4 pupils are involved in the “Stomp” lessons, I will suggest only the P3 pupils to participate in this competition. I hope to help students develop in them a lifelong passion for art, recognize their efforts and discover their talents in doodling. If any of the P4 pupils are interested in the competition, please feel free to encourage them to participate and submit their art piece to me before 31st Aug. I look forward to your strong support. Thank You so much!
